At the AGTA Spectrum Awards 2017, the American Gem Trade Association recognized Adam Neeley with the honor of First Place: Business / Day Wear Category for his pendant, entitled Cosmos. This striking design features a 24.06 carat specialty-cut morganite accented with 3.14 carats total weight of diamonds, set in rose gold spiraling outward into white gold. The morganite center stone was cut by world class lapidary artist Stephen Avery.
AGTA’s Spectrum Awards are considered the world’s top colored gemstone and cultured pearl design competition. AGTA held this year’s competition in New York on August 5th – 6th. Each year, AGTA selects industry expert judges to determine winners. This year, those judges were: Arun Bohra from Arunashi; Cathy Calhoun of Calhoun Jewelers; Sherris Cottier Shank from Gemscapes; Alishan Halebian from Alishan; and Holly Wesche of Wesche Jewelers.
